Service and maintenance

The integrated brine tank is designed for daily use
and requires minimal maintenance. It is sufficient to keep the salt level
above the water level – ideally, the tank should be filled to about two
thirds. For most households, it is usually sufficient
to check the salt level every 2 to 4 months. 

Important: Never let the salt run out completely.
Insufficient salt supply can interrupt the regeneration process
and reduce the softening performance of the system. 

The vacation mode helps protect the resin when the
system is not used for an extended period, such as
during vacation or a long absence. Smart alarms
notify you of a low salt level as well as upcoming
maintenance needs, making everyday care easier and more predictable. 

To ensure your Arctic Blue 150 operates smoothly, here are a few installation tips:

Space requirements: Allow sufficient space to easily operate the system and refill the regeneration salt if necessary.

Drain connection: A drain connection (HT pipe) must be available in the immediate vicinity to safely discharge the rinse water during regeneration.

Pre-filter: We strongly recommend installing a pre-filter (sediment filter) before the softener to protect the valve and resin bed from contaminants in the water line.

Bypass: Use the integrated or a separate bypass valve so that you still have water available in the house during maintenance work on the system.

Please follow these guidelines to ensure the safe operation of your system:

Installation: The system should be installed by a qualified professional in accordance with the applicable drinking water and installation regulations (DIN EN 1717).

Water pressure: Ensure that the operating pressure remains within the range specified by the manufacturer. A pressure reducer may be required if the mains pressure is high.

Frost protection: The system must be installed in a frost-free room.

Electrical safety: If your system has electrical controls, ensure it is properly connected to a nearby fused socket.

• Price reduction or withdrawal: If the remedy is unsuccessful, impossible, or unreasonable, you can reduce the purchase price or withdraw from the purchase agreement.
